Question about obese child weight loss?

Our foster child is almost 7 years old and weighs 158 lbs. (She should weigh about 70 lbs for her height.) She has been with us for 3 weeks and has lost 10 lbs. in that time, just by eating normal meals and playing outside. I’ve always heard that a person shouldn’t lose more than 3 lbs. a week, but I’m wondering if it’s different for people who are morbidly obese. Is it for someone with that much extra weight to lost more than 3 lbs. a week? I was just thinking that if she was losing 3 lbs. a week without really any effort, maybe an actual exercise schedule would help her lose the weight faster. Any pediatricians or dieticians out there, or with knowledge in this area?

I don’t have any medical experience or knowledge on this subject but in my opinion, as long as she’s losing weight in a natural way and not by any diet or pills, then there’s no reason why it should be unsafe.

I eat 3 meals a day but I eat A LOT of fruit instead of snacks. I pick at apples, bananas, grapes and other fruits all day long. Can this simply help me lose weight? What is fruit helps the weight loss process?

It sure can. Fruits completely healthy and . Some people might tell you not to eat so much fruit, and to eat more vegetables, but you’re just fine.

I got these “Apple Cider Vinegar Diet” tablets. First of all wondering if it helped anyone weight, and also, have you heard of it reducing the effectiveness of birth control? I just spoke with the pharmacist and she said she doesn’t think it should have any effect, but just wondering if anyone had heard anything contrary to that?

I dont know about tablets but if you google Braggs apple cider vinegar you will see a bunch of info on it. You take one tsp before each meal and your food digests better thus causing you to not eat so much. You have to use vinegar with mother in it for it to work. Tablets, I do not think has mother in it.
