Question by : Is it bad that I am losing weight quickly?
I have been dieting for 10 days now and have already lost 10 pounds. I have yogurt and fresh fruit for breakfast, a turkey burger for lunch, grilled chicken, black beans and fresh baby spinach for dinner and maybe an apple or caneloupe for a snack. I have heard that it is not good to lose weight quickly and that I will hit a plateu and stop weight. What can I do to continue the weight lose hurting myself in the long run?

I think it looks like you’re on the right path with your diet. It really all depends obviously though on how much weight you have to lose? As you continue on your body does adjust to your routine, but as long as your achieving a calorie deficit every day you’ll continue to lose weight. It just won’t come off quite as rapidly as your body starts to adjust.

If anything you may just want to add some lean protein like egg whites into your breakfast. This will help fuel your muscles and make sure that the weight that you’re losing is actual body fat, rather than weight.

Question by i say it with luv: Is strength training or cardio more efficient for losing weight quickly?
I enjoy both and i do both, but wondering which is the quickest at strictly ? Or maybe i should say at losing fat, i know you don’t actual as quickly with strength training because of building some muscle.

both r u needed as well as a good diet

to lose weight u need to eat right and have a workout plan 5-6 days a week.u have to want it.
***try this u need to change ur diet.
eat six times a day. ea of ur 3 main meals needs to combine a lean protein such as chicken breast ground turkey turkey bacon egg whts also combine that with a complex carb such as a baked potato or sweet potato wild rice brown rice oatmeal or girts. also add fresh fruit and vegies to lunch and dinner. pick fruits low in sugar like pears and berries. if u get canned vegies get ones with low sodium. eat every 3-4 hrs keep ur metablism moving.
***also the most important part is WATER drink at least 64oz. no soda or juice. water will curve ur cravings.
u need to hit cardio 3-4 times a week running outside it great workout if u can hit a gym and cardio machine is great at least 30mins***
also add weight/strength training 3 times a week.u can google free weight traning guides anywhere. its not hard to find things for free. also for those wanting sexy hot abs. a nice toned stomach comes from a body with low body fat. so if ur overweight and u do a million crunches or any ab workout you r wasting your time!!! cant see the muscles under fat. low body fat equals=a nice flat toned stomach.

Okay I wanna lose alot of weight before school starts, but I also don’t want to lose any of my muscle. So I guess what I’m trying to say is how do I get rid of all the fat weight real fast?

(And please do not recomend any of those you buy.)

You only lose muscle when either A) it turns to fat by not being used (so i.e. weight lift them couple of times a week) and B) when you starve yourself, your muscle will be eaten away before fat does (see; anorexia).
To lose fat, or at least try too, just do what your doing but up your aerobic workouts.

I started to this month I already have thinner and muscular thighs, fat gone from my back, stronger abdominal area, etc!

I thought that it would takes MONTHS to get these results.
My friend said that the reason I lose weight so fast was due to my really bad diet/junk food all the time before I started working out and watching what I eat.

So, does this make sense? or is it completely normal to lose weight fast?

That is totally normal, if you have a bad diet, and you change it and start exercising, you notice results almost instantly. Your mind has changed and now your body is following. Your body is getting the nutrition it needs to stay healthy and lean. Remember if you start to plateau (you don’t see new results for a while) then change up your workouts.

I weigh 174 and I’m on the Jenny Craig diet. (I used to weigh 181 when I started Late August.) I know I’m not losing as much as I could because I cheat “just a little” and I didn’t like to exercise. Nothing really inspired me THAT much to lose weight until a problem I got involved with not too long ago. I’ve been running around Wal-Mart, going on tracks, etc but I know I’ll eventually get bored with it. I’ve considered DDR and I’m going to save up for that.. but until then, I need fun ways to exercise. I would also like tips on eating. I tend to cheat a little.. so if I do have the urge to cheat, what should I eat?
