A lot of people who supplement their dogs’ diets buy human supplements, rather than the ones specifically marketed for dogs– because they’re usually less expensive. However, I think it’s always a good idea to bring the tablets in their original packaging to your vet, who can take a close look at the dosage and ingredients, just to be safe.
When I give my dogs their glucosamine and their fish oil, (liquid) I just mix it into their food. I feed a raw diet, so I mix it into things like ground lean beef, or turkey. You can do the same with commercial wet or dry dog food.
Add @ catwings: Apple cider vinegar is a very common supplement for dogs; it’s considered to be quite good for immunity, balancing Ph levels, and adding nutrients.
